Stephan King's Desperation (2006)

Desperation is based on a horror novel by Stephan King. His novels are probably the only novel horror novels i love to read. and oh come on, who never heard of Stephan King? I'm pretty sure you'll find a Stephan King novel if you go to a bookstore. if you don't, then you probably never been to a REAL bookstore.


The movie is about several people who's been abducted by a strange police officer in Nevada's small town called desperation. when i say a small town, of course there'll be no phone services, a little electricity and yeah, just a little town surrounded by desert. 

On highway 50, two young couple got pulled over by a policeman, Collie Entragian. He caught them and take them to his town and lock them up in jail for drug possession. there, they find several people got locked up too.. A writer, A family of 3 and A hitchiker. There's a little boy named David who got these vision from god of what is really happening in this town. All of those vision helped him to get out of the jail and free all of them. by the time all of them got out, they decided to helped David's mother. Earlier, David's mother got dragged by Entragian to a mining pit to perform somekind of sacrifice or ritual. so question is.. did they manage to save her? (spoilers alert!) NO. later, then found out that Entragian was actually being possessed by an evil spirit called tak.

Stephan king got his insipration of this movie from his cross-country drive to a small desert community in Ruth, Nevada where he thought all the towners were dead. i don't think a lot of people knows about this movie. i've watched it a couple of years ago. i actually got spooked by Entragian's demonic face. but he also looks a lot like the thing from fantastic four.
